This stuffing was hot, but not in the roasted turkey sense. Police have arrested a 32-year-old man suspected of stealing 217 cases of Pepperidge Farm stuffing mix.
The stuff went missing last week from a storage trailer in Midland. Deputy Police Chief Robert Lane says area distributors have access to the trailer, and the suspect worked for one of the distributors.
The Midland Daily News and WSGW-AM said the man was arrested over the weekend at his home in Bentley in northern Bay County.
Lane says prosecutors have been asked to charge the man with embezzlement. The 157 cases of stuffing recovered by police is being held as evidence.
Mankind has created spectacular works of art, engineered incredibly tall buildings, designed impressive supercomputers, lived in outerspace, discovered cures for nasty diseases. As a whole, nothing can compare to human intelligence, but sometimes, humans stuff themselves into a mess.
