Mankind has created spectacular works of art, engineered incredibly tall buildings, designed impressive supercomputers, lived in outerspace, discovered cures for nasty diseases. As a whole, nothing can compare to human intelligence, but sometimes, humans should be a little safer.

Female Suspects Hail A Cab From L.I. Burglary

Nassau County police have arrested two women who decided to take a taxi after they robbed a Long Island home.

Officials say the burglars broke into a house in East Norwich through a back window early Thanksgiving morning. Police say the thieves grabbed a large safe and then loaded it into a cab.

The homeowner had recently died, but police say relatives and the cab driver helped lead detectives to the two female suspects.

They have been arrested on burglary charges.

Police say it's not the first time a cab has been used as a getaway car.
